Ok, first, I’ll have to admit that I’m not really a very good dancer. I’ve dated a lot of Latin women, including a professional Salsa dancer, and I have decent rhythm, but I have no formal dancing education, and usually I just “freestyle” – basically I just move with the music, and don’t follow any “style” of dancing.
But I’m usually the best dancer in the bar.
That’s because your average American guy SUCKS at dancing. He’s probably worse at dancing than he is at picking up.
We should think up a new name for them… like AFC, but for dancers. Like, AUAD: Average Uptight American Dancer.
Are you an AUAD?
If you are, you can improve your game drastically by learning to dance, and have a fun time as well. Take some salsa or hip hop dancing lessons, get your rhythm down, and above all – DON’T LOOK SELF CONSCIOUS! If you can do that, you can get women into you simply by virtue of your dancing.

dancing is fun at home, but SCARES the shit out of me in public, but i still do my stupid ass dances

Yes, This is a great point. As a white boy who can move, I have literally taken over venues by taking the spotlight on the dance floor. The black girls love it, you become the center of attention and wow…talk about social proof as you move like a Chippendale in the middle of a circle of ladies!!!
When asked where I learned to dance, one of my standard lines is “I’m half black….(pause)…from the waist down!!!” Needless to say, this works on several levels.

I also just go with the music, it´s like you said when you have fun while dancing, when you telegraph it, when you appear like the leader on the Dancefloor….I always get AI´s like crazy, or girls pull me over to dance with them. I think it´s a new attraction switch. LEADER ON THE DANCEFLOOR!!!!
