Thoughtmagnet

I’m sitting in Sinn’s day game program right now, and I’m actually hearing his method for the first time. Sinn and I have gone out “day-gaming” before, but I’ve never actually heard him break it all down the way he does during the seminar.

It’s really interesting, and a lot different than the “regular” MM that we teach on our bootcamps. A lot of the stuff he’s teaching is stuff that I actually already do, but didn’t realize it until Sinn described it to me.

Anyway, I’m kind of sitting at the back here, half-listening and half preparing for my London program two weeks from now. I’m really looking forward to going back to London – when I was there in Sept I met a really great girl that I’m looking forward to getting together with again. Also, my wing-girl, Jessie is coming with Cajun, Masters and I to help out. Jessie is a really fun girl to be around, and the four of us in London are sure to have a good time.

London is kind of a strange place. The main thing I noticed about gaming in London is that London girls have a bit more attitude than your average American girl, but that initial attitude is a lot easier to get over than women in the US. I think it has to do with the very British tradition of men getting ridiculously drunk on Friday and Saturday night.

Now, I’m a drinker, and nobody has ever accused me of being frugal in my alcohol consumption, but British guys drink like CRAZY. In Canada or the US, you would be kicked out of a bar for being half as drunk as your average UK guy. Even at classy places, it seems, there are a half-dozen guys who are completely trashed.

This, I think, is the source of the London-girl attitude. They’re so used to being incompetently approached by blotto rugby players that they have their defenses up much more than your average American. But likewise, because so many of the men that approach are so incompetent, the attitude goes away pretty quickly once she finds out you’re not a completely shitfaced tool.
