I found "Women" to be one of the most repetitive stories I've ever read. It seemed to repeat itself every ten pages and quickly became redundant. I really wanted to like this book but I couldn't. I havn't felt such a let down since I read "Until I Find You" by my favorite author John Irving.

That's really interesting that you brought up Bukowski... he's been somewhat of a hero for me, starting when I was introduced to him 5 years ago. His manner of writing, and living, is so liberating. I think his popularity stems from the feelings he conveys to his readers, whether you like him or not, you feel him.
